Brookings director fired for misusing credit card (Curry Coastal Pilot)

Brookings Public Works Director John Cowan was fired this week amid allegations of misappropriation of city funds. Cowan, an 18-year city employee, was terminated for using a city gas credit card to fill gas cans for personal use when he filled his city vehicle, said City Manager Gary Milliman

Orange County woman admits to using boss’s credit card to steal $17,000 (Mid-Hudson News)

NEW CITY – A Highland Falls woman was arrested in Rockland County and charged with stealing more than $17,000 from her Ramapo employer by using the company credit card to rack up over $17,000 worth of debt, Rockland County District Attorney Thomas Zugibe said.
